NovaRise Command

Multi-Tenant Contractor CRM for the Steel Building Industry

Projects. Clients. Invoices. Materials. Role-based access. eSign. Nova AI. An append-only audit trail. Built on Next.js 15, Prisma, and SQLite — and purpose-built for PEMB and steel building contractors.

Stack: Next.js 15 · Prisma ORM · SQLite · Tailwind CSS

Features

Everything a PEMB Contractor Needs in One Platform

Command was designed from the ground up for the steel building industry. No adaptation from a generic SaaS. No missing fields. No workflows that don't match how this industry actually operates.

Multi-Tenant Architecture

One account can manage multiple companies. Each tenant has its own isolated data space. Ideal for contractors who operate multiple LLCs, joint ventures, or regional divisions under one login.

  • Tenant-scoped data isolation — one breach can't bleed into another account
  • Invite teammates and assign roles per tenant
  • Switch between companies without logging out

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

Three access tiers keep the right people in their lane. Owners have full control. Managers can run operations. Viewers see what they need without the ability to alter records.

  • Owner: full read/write including user management and billing
  • Manager: full project and client access, no user or account settings
  • Viewer: read-only across all project and client data

Projects & Client Management

Track every project from first contact to final invoice. Clients are linked to projects, projects are linked to invoices, and everything is searchable and filterable without spreadsheets.

  • Create and manage projects with status, timeline, and notes
  • Link clients to projects with full contact history
  • Attach materials, documents, and tasks to each project

Invoicing & Materials

Invoice clients directly from the platform and track material costs per project. No external billing tool required for early-stage operations.

  • Create and send invoices tied to specific projects
  • Track material line items with quantity, unit cost, and supplier
  • Invoice status tracking: draft, sent, viewed, paid

Nova AI Assistant

Nova AI is embedded in the Command workflow — not a chatbot bolted to the side. It assists with client communication drafts, project summaries, and workflow questions.

  • Draft client emails and follow-ups from project context
  • Summarize project status and open items on demand
  • Answer PEMB industry questions from within the platform

eSign

Send proposals, contracts, and change orders for legally binding signature without leaving the platform. Recipients sign in their browser — no account required.

  • Generate signable documents from project data
  • Recipient signs via secure email link — no app install needed
  • Signed documents stored against the project record permanently

Append-Only Audit Trail

Every action in Command — every create, edit, status change, and signature — writes to a permanent, immutable audit log. Records cannot be silently changed or deleted.

  • All mutations logged with timestamp, user, and action type
  • Original values and new values captured on every edit
  • Audit trail is surfaced per-project and per-client in the UI

Security Model

Five Layers of Data Protection

Contractor data — client contacts, invoice amounts, signed agreements — is sensitive. Command enforces security at every layer of the stack, not just in the browser.

01

Authentication

Session-based auth with server-side token validation on every request.

02

Authorization

RBAC enforced at the API layer — not just in the UI. A viewer cannot call a write endpoint.

03

Tenant Isolation

All database queries are scoped to the authenticated user's tenant. Cross-tenant data access is structurally impossible.

04

Audit Trail

Append-only log using Prisma middleware. Delete mutations are blocked at the ORM layer.

05

eSign Integrity

Signed documents are hashed and stored with a timestamp. Post-signature modification is detectable.

Real-World Scenarios

How Contractors Use Command

Multi-Project Contractor

A contractor running five concurrent PEMB projects across two states needs one place to track which clients have signed, which projects have open invoices, and which crew members have viewer access to which jobs. Command handles all of it without a shared spreadsheet.

Owner + Field Manager Split

The owner handles invoicing and client relationships. The field manager tracks materials and project status. RBAC gives each person exactly what they need. The owner doesn't worry about a manager accidentally altering invoice records.

Change Order Dispute Prevention

A client disputes a change order cost. The contractor pulls the eSign record — timestamp, IP, signed document — and the audit trail showing when the original scope was entered and by whom. Dispute closed.
